In today’s world being able to recognize and regulate emotions is a critical skill for finding joy and success in life. Previous generations had more down time, more time in nature, and more physical activity which all helped regulate their emotions naturally. While our lifestyle changed, we haven’t adjusted our teaching. Now, especially following the fear and isolation that Covid presented, there is more anxiety in children than ever.
MindfulKinder is a program designed to help kids (of all ages) pay attention to the world inside and around them. Each course of the program consists of 15-weeks of mindfulness activities and guidance designed to increase happiness delivered directly to your inbox twice a week.
There exists within everyone, an innate presence, where one can rest at any moment. Kids understand this far better than adults who have been programmed to think, think, think!
The goal is that these courses create a consistent focus on mindfulness and a new language in your life to increase overall attention, balance and connection, and ultimately bring happiness to more lives, homes and communities. Instilling these concepts in children at a young age, will help them build emotional intelligence and move forward in the world with compassion.
At the core of the MindfulKinder program is a belief that the key to happiness is kindness, and the key to kindness is mindfulness. Mindfulness helps people take care of their minds and emotions leading to more balanced and joyful lives. As children we are taught to care for our bodies and we are taught how to practically live in this world. We are not often taught how to take care of our minds and emotions.
MindfulKinder is a program designed to do just that, to help individuals, parents, teachers and other care providers give children tools to take care of their emotional well-being and allow children to lead successful and HAPPY lives. By the way, all of this helps grown-ups too!
