Today’s soul boost is a reminder that the voice of love is truth. It may be quieter; it may be harder to find in the moment; and, it may be hiding. And, yet, love is the voice that tells the truth.
As you listen to the voices in your head, make sure you know which voice is talking. Is it the voice of love or fear? Most often, the voices in our head are fearful. They are trying to fulfill their primal job of protecting us from harmful threats – like running from animals.
However, when there is no real outside threat, the good intention of the voice creates a negative impact and is not true. It is our job to discern real threats from perceived threats and to watch the voices of fear pass through our mind like clouds.
As you go through your week, try to make love the dominant voice in your head. In love, you find truth.
In addition to watching the fearful thoughts pass through your mind like clouds, here are a few more tips to help make love the dominant voice in your head.
Point out what’s working. Love is quieter so while we easily point out what’s not working, we need to put intention around pointing out the wins. Tell others about the cool thing that happened today. And, rather than ‘the problem is’ flip it to ‘the opportunity is’.
Make a joyful proclamation: ‘I’m going to find joy every day.’ If it’s a reach to find joy, find something you’re satisfied with. Point to satisfaction over and over. Where you find joy, you find love.
May the voice in your head help you find your truth.
