A poem for Winter Solstice
Reflect back, and look ahead
On the shortest day of the year, reflect back and look ahead.
Reflect on what you no longer want, and release.
Reflect on what you’ve accomplished, and celebrate.
Reflect on what you’ve gained, and appreciate.
For within the release, celebration, and appreciation, is the gift to look ahead at longer days with wonder and peace.
Look ahead knowing what you want to achieve and who you want to be, and rejoice – for it is so.
